STADIUM AND JUDGING RULES REMINDER
1. All vehicles (excluding Race Cars) must have a current WOF and registration to be eligible for judging.
2. Judged cars must be unlocked and unalarmed, windows up, floor/dash mats out, convertible tops up and to minimise any weather-related issues the bonnet is not required to be fully up but just open on safety latch. Points can be deducted by judges if these conditions are not meet. Trunks are not judged so feel free to store cleaning items there. Inner wheel fenders are also judged but not undercar areas.
3. As always Cleanliness earns the most points in the Exterior, Engine Bay, Wheels /Tyres and Interior judging categories.
4. Owners are requested to not be present during judging.
5. At the discretion of the convention organisers, registration classes may be grouped together or even deleted should we have less than 2 vehicles in that class. Owners will be advised prior to the convention once all the entrants are finalised after the registration shut off date.
6. Clone or tribute cars cannot be included in original as-built factory classes e.g. an Eleanor clone is not classed as a First-Generation Shelby Vehicle. They must be entered into Custom Class.
7. Restomod class cars are cars that have ALL of the following non-factory options. Modified brakes, Suspension, Wheels, Mechanicals and drivetrain.
8. On the day of judging the convention organisers or the head of Judge’s has the authority to change the submitted class or even disqualify an entrant should they feel it is registered in the incorrect class.
9. The officially appointed head of Judge’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
Completed judging forms are not available to entrants and will be destroyed by the head of Judge’s at the completion of judging.
Overnight Security will be provided at the venue from 9pm to 7am each night of the event.
The 47th Mustang Convention in New Zealand is to be hosted by the Waikato Mustang Owners Club (WMOC), and will take place over Labour Weekend (23rd – 26th October, 2026).
The Waikato Mustang Owners Club first hosted a convention back in 1982, this was followed by the 1987 NZ Mustang Convention, which was based at Aaron Court. This was further followed by 1997, 2002, 2007, 2013 and lastly 2019 therefore making this is the eighth occasion that the Waikato Mustang Owners Club have been pleased to welcome you to their region.
